Lesson 4 of 7

Workspaces And Collaboration

A workspace is a draft set of changes on top of the current live version. Each person can work in their own workspace, so two people building different tags do not overwrite each other.

Conflicts only arise when two workspaces edit the same object. GTM warns you and lets you resolve it when you publish or sync. The healthy pattern is to keep workspaces small and short-lived: make a focused change, preview it, publish, and start fresh.

Key takeaway

Use one workspace per focused change, keep them short-lived, and you will rarely hit a conflict.
